Close proximity to train station.
Difficult to find. Map from Booked.net was incorrect. Maps with street names would be good. Consider written directions. Laundry was a bit difficult, consider a combined washing and dryer machine.
Spa & public bath in 11th floor is extra bonus for guest Can walk to Kyoto station (10-15minute) The reception & front desk is helpful Communicate in english as well Good value for money
They have free wi-fi at the lobby But it really slow , take too much time to download any data But it's a liitle to bother us We satisfied in overall of this hotel in general
The hotel is right next to Kyoto station and the new mall. There are some great restaurants in the hotel but you can always go to Kyoto station for some really great food at cheap prices. The staff were helpful in changing our room when we checked in as they noticed that the room I had booked online would not suit my partner and I. I was really impressed with their pro activeness. Don't expect a large room, most hotels in Japan offer just a room with a bed and toilet area, that's normal. I was too busy sightseeing and using my room for sleeping to care about the size.
My partner and I were not very comfortable sleeping on the pillow provided. If I was staying a little longer at the hotel, I would have asked for another pillow. It would be great to have an extra pillow in the room in case it's needed. The daily breakfast Japanese buffet breakfast was part of my room charge and it was great. I was a little rushed because breakfast starts at 7 am and my tours started at 7.20am across the road at a nearby hotel. It would have been nice to relax while eating in the morning, or have the breaky start at 6 or 6.30am. As I said the food was great tho.
There's no convenient store around, so it's impossibleto have breakfast!
Clean, comfortable and in a good location near the station.
Only wifi in the lobby, and of poor quality.
Hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. Hotel is located approx. 5 min. Walk from the Railway station and subway station. And the WC is heated :-)
I know, it's a japanese thing, but for this money I expected a larger room :-)
It was easy to find and conveniently located near the rail and bus stations. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful with all kinds of enquiries. The room was small but fine for 1 person. If you like to relax in your hotel room then these are not the rooms for you but for someone who likes a comfortable bed, clean room with as many amenities that you can fit in a small room, it was fine.
Clean, good facility, good location and Cheap.
It is very clean and most of staff speak English. The location is good if you don't like to lumber your luggage around as it is just 5 min from the main station.
The location is not great if you do not like walking as the hotel is about 2 km from main attractions. The room was very small even by japanese standards. It was about 30 cm narrower than the small double I had in Tokyo and as a consequence I was constantly knocking into furniture (and I am a small person).
Great location a few minutes walk from the hotel. Fantastic Onsen (Public Bath).
Rooms were very small but the Onsen made up for that.
Location, price and clean place Good for travelers of all ages (except small children).
Easy to hear the conversations from my neighbours.
The location of th hotel is very good. Close proximity to the railway station, the bus stop, and the aeon department store make it ideal for the mature traveller. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If arriving before the checkin time of 3:00 pm, they will look after your baggage, so you can go sightseeing or shopping instead of hanging around in the hotel lobby.
The bathroom is very small, even by Japanse standards.
It is very convenient location. Close to traffic centre. Nice service and very friendly staff.
The room facing to the rail is big noisy in the evening.
Very convenient access to Kyoto station, still at a price which is lower than other hotels in the same vicinity. Rooms are very clean; amenities (including toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving blades, hairbrush) are provided on a daily basis.
Rooms (at least single-rooms) are very small, the bed mattress is a little too hard, in my opinion.
Great location, close to JR Kyoto Station - where you can plan your daily sightseeing schedule - and great breakfast buffet. A very honest price/benefits ratio, APA is a well know Japanese business hotel chain.
